Our Staff

Dr. Rivka Robinson PT, DPT is the founder of Robinson Physical Therapy. She specializes in pediatric development, scoliosis and spine rehabilitation.

 

Dr. Robinson graduated in 1998 from Hunter College school of Health Sciences with a degree in Physical Therapy. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from AT Still University of Health Sciences in 2007. She trained with Sonia Sumar in Yoga for the special child in 2000, University of Southern California Department of Occupational Science and Therapy for Sensory Integration and Praxis Training( SIPT) in 2001, Brain Gym in 2011. S’cool Moves in 2015. Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy (BSPTS) in 2017 focusing on the Schroth Method and Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School in 2018 focusing on Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis (SEAS).

 

Dr. Robinson worked for 23 years with pediatrics from birth-21 focusing on providing developmental therapy and simultaneously founded Robinson Physical Therapy, an outpatient facility that focuses on the treatment of scoliosis and kyphosis as well as providing developmental physical therapy.

 

Dr. Miriam Max PT, DPT specializes in pelvic floor rehabilitation and pediatric developmental delays. As a mother, she is passionate about helping pregnant and postpartum women navigate pelvic health and recovery, and children with their gross motor abilities and pelvic dysfunction. Miriam graduated from Touro University’s health science honors track, with awards for academic achievement and research abilities. She has taken numerous courses held by the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Floor institute, has trained under renowned pelvic floor specialists, and has presented in services on current best evidence practice. 

Dr. Max has treated patients with urine and fecal incontinence, constipation, nocturia, pelvic pain syndromes, dyspareunia, coccydynia, pelvic organ prolapse, and various other pelvic floor dysfunctions. She has also worked with patients with kyphosis, scoliosis, and other postural abnormalities. She uses a combination of manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular reeducation, and modalities to create individualized sessions.
